Dr.
Sara Mendelsohn attended the Boston University School of Medicine
Six-Year Medical program. She subsequently completed her
residency in Preventive Medicine / Occupational and Environmental
Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She obtained a
Masters in Public Health at the University of Illinois at Chicago and
was elected into the prestigious Delta Omega Honor Society. Dr.
Mendelsohn is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Preventive Medicine at
Stony Brook University Hospital. She has maintained an active
clinical practice providing Preventive Travel Medicine and Occupational
and Environmental Medical expertise since 1991. Dr. Mendelsohn is
an active lecturer and has directed overseas courses for primary care
physicians to obtain continuing medical education credits on topics
including Occupational and Travel Medicine. Currently, she serves
as an advisor to the Suffolk County Department of Health in the field
of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and is listed in The Best Doctors New York Metro Area, Castle Connolly Guide. Dr.
Mendelsohn is pleased to announce the opening of her private practice
with offices in Woodbury, NY and Stony Brook, NY
